What is Essence Haus?

What type of wax do you use?

All of our candles are made with Coconut Apricot Wax. It is paraben, phthalate and toxin free. 

Why wood wicks?

Great question! Wood wicks are eco-friendly and perform very well in our candles.

  • Wood wicks will heat your wax more evenly for an even, slow burn. This will extend the life of your candle and fragrance.
  • Our wood wicks give off a mild, but pleasant crackling sound, similar to a fireplace.
  • Wood wicks may need to be relit 2-3 times on the first burn. Wick care is especially important for wooden wicks. Refer to our Candle Care section.

What should I do if my flame becomes too large?

Extinguish the flame, trim your wick and relight! Trimming your wick consistently helps manage the flame in each burn! 

Can your containers be upcycled?

All of our candle jars can be repurposed!

  • It is recommended to stop using your candle once it reaches 1/2" of wax.
  • Pour boiling water into the vessel (caution: the jar will get very hot, use a cloth towel or heat resistant gloves).
  • Wait a few minutes, and the wax and wick will float to the top. Discard.
  • Wash the jar thoroughly.
  • Reuse as a vase, organizer...the possibilities are endless !

Do you offer customization?

Yes! Customization can be done on all products! We strive to ensure your happiness, so the vessel, scent, and label can be customized to your liking. Customization can be done for a minimum of 10 products. Please contact us via our contact page to discuss further details.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

All products are made to order, so you can expect your package to be in the mail anywhere from 2-5 business days after your order is placed. 

What is your refund policy?

Currently, we do not accept refunds or exchanges but we do want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Please reach out to us if there is a issue!
